Hello, Nice of you t o join us! Its always great to chat with other ghost hunting fans. I started this group awhile back from scratch and over the time we have expanded from parkersburg/clarksburg/fairmont/morgantown and as far north as pittsburgh. But, before any of this took place I was involved with the Pittsburgh Paranormal Society and the Peace of Mind Paranormal Society for a good while and I learned alot from them and after getting a good bit of experience I branched off but still involved with them and started my own group. We are doing about 2 investigations a month up until the end of Oct. But i havent gotten around to post them out yet. Thats the only thing i'm behind on..lol. Where are you located at? We usually take people out on some investigations of ours to get their feet wet, your always more then welcome to join us on an investigation.

Good luck with finding a group! I'm with Huntington Paranormal myself, and have been for the past three years, after working freelance and with several other groups. 99% of our cases come from the tri-state area, but I'd personally like to branch out into the Kanawha County area a little more, since its closer to me, hehe.

Anyway, feel free to contact us if interested! All the protocol and procedures for the application process are listed on our website at www.huntingtonparanormal.com . If someone doesn't get back to you right away, its just because we're so busy right now, so if interested, give us a week, then send a follow-up. We're currently not actively seeking new members, but since we've got a few people out on personal leave, and we're getting ready to enter our busiest season, we're definitely considering all qualified applicants.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's or state issued picture ID. We do not require an applicant to have any experience or equipment, but it is definitely a plus, as is life experience. HPIR members come from a wide variety of walks of life and backgrounds, and everyone brings a unique perspective and skill set to investigations. What we do require is a certain level of participation. Members are expected to attend monthly meetings and periodic training investigations. We also encourage members to participate in conferences and public events. We generally set up a booth at the Mothman Festival each year, and we've been invited to be a part of this year's Braxton County Monster event, and several events in the Huntington area.

We're also averaging about 2 cases per month, many of those private residences, but HPIR is also involved in a host of other historical endeavors. We're members of the Madie Carroll House Preservation Society and tour guides in training. We're also active in Guyandotte's Civil War Days. We run a historical candlelight tour of the Civil War era homes in the area, complete in period dress. Members are encouraged, but not required to partake in these extra activities.

Im just curious in checking into seeing if you had contacted a group to join them in on some investigations.

Yes The Hunting group is full and ECHO is like 6 hours from me after speaking to Christine for a bit on the phone I wish they were closer. However, they were the only ones to reply to me. I'd like to at least find some one to go with a few times to get the experience so at the least I can do some myself.
You got anything coming up?

Our next investigation is July 7th 8th and 9th up in Lewistown Pa. which is just over 4hrs away. Then we have an investigation in Warfield Ky. and then Bushy Run Battlefield up in pa. For some reason, we never did have many investigations in the central/south part of WV. If we do get any we will be sure to get in contact with you.

I'd do some driving to get the experience, the KY one sounds cool???
